Paige Johnson Named Cavalor Show Jumping Hall of Fame Rider of the Month

by By Michelle Riggs | Nov 12, 2009, 10:34 AM

Competition in the Cavalor Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series continued during the month of October, as the end of the Series was drawing near. With only a few horse shows remaining in the schedule, competition was in full-swing.

With Cavalor's support, the series honors one rider each month as the Cavalor Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series Rider of the Month. The honor goes to the one rider who earns the most points on one horse in series competition that month.

With 150 points earned aboard her mount Chiron S, Paige Johnson of The Plains, VA, was named as Cavalor Show Jumping Hall of Fame Rider of the Month for the month of October. Paige competes in the Series' East Conference Amateur-Owner division, and finished in first place with Chiron S during the Cavalor Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series class held at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show in Harrisburg, PA.

"Paige has been a dedicated competitor of the Hall of Fame Series for many years," said Philippe Collard, President of Cavalor, Inc. "Her win at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show was very impressive, and we are thrilled to honor her as our October Rider of the Month!"

The Cavalor Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series saw competition at three events during the month of October, and at more than 100 horse shows before the Series culminated in the Year-End Championships at the Syracuse Invitational Sporthorse Tournament featuring the 126th National Horse Show in Syracuse, NY, in October.

The Series hosts separate divisions for junior and amateur-owner riders in two Conferences—the East Conference and the West Conference. Series standings were used to help determine junior and amateur-owner entries for the National Horse Show.

In the overall standings through October, Alex Parrish and Kadorijke topped the amateur-owner standings in the East Conference while Victoria Birdsall and Jerremy topped in the junior division. In the West, Josephina Nor led in the amateur-owner division with Chello Z, while Jocelyn Neff led in the junior division with Blue Shot Baco. The West Conference will finish with the LA National Horse Show, November 11-15.
