Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) announced that its annual fundraiser, the 20th Select Stallion Season Auction, will be held on Friday, December 4, at the Keeneland Entertainment Center in Lexington, KY.

The Select Stallion Season Auction will feature seasons to many top stallions, including Arch, Bernardini, Dynaformer, First Samurai, Harlan’s Holiday, Malibu Moon, Medaglia D’Oro, Street Cry and more. In addition to the stallion seasons, auction items will include an Andre Pater oil painting, a sports package featuring Kentucky vs. Louisville basketball tickets, an Ez-Go 2 + 2 Golf Cart, a Triple Crown Package, a trip to Italy and much more.

Ginny DuPont Suarez and Beverly Strauss of MidAtlantic Horse Rescue will be honored with the TCA Industry Service Award and TCA founders Herb and Ellen Moelis and the late Allaire duPont will be recognized.

The Select Stallion Season Auction will be preceded by a telephone auction to be held from November 30 through December 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The majority of TCA’s seasons will be sold during the telephone auction with the select seasons going into the live auction on December 4. The telephone auction hotline is (302) 376-6289. For a complete list of seasons, please visit www.thoroughbredcharities.org and to purchase tickets for the Select Stallion Season Auction, please call (859) 276-2291.

TCA was formed in 1990 to raise and distribute funds for charities in the Thoroughbred industry, which provide a better life for Thoroughbreds both during and after their racing careers by supporting retirement, rescue, research and by helping the people who work with them. TCA is the charitable arm of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA). To date, over $16 million has been distributed to 150 equine charities who dedicate themselves to providing a better life for horses and the people who care for them on a daily basis.
