HITS, Inc., is pleased to announce that one of their competitions has won a national award from the United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA). The HITS Ocala Winter Classic, which was held on February 3-8, 2009, was selected as the USHJA "A/AA" rated Member's Choice award-winning competition for Zone 4.

"We are honored that our Zone 4 exhibitors selected the HITS Ocala Winter Classic for this award," said Tom Struzzieri, HITS President and CEO. "I'm proud that their experience at HITS Ocala motivated them to participate in the evaluation process. We work very hard to put forth a great product for our customers and appreciate the recognition. Our company goals are very much aligned with the goals of this award, as we always strive to provide exhibitor-friendly competitions with excellent facilities, fantastic footing, and a welcoming and helpful staff."

The Ocala Winter Classic was one of two shows selected for Zone 4, and the only show at the "A/AA" rated level. It is one of only 24 total competition winners in the United States.

The HITS Ocala Winter Classic will be among those shows honored at the Showcase Luncheon on December 9, 2009, at the USHJA Annual Meeting in St. Petersburg, FL. The show will be publicized in the USHJA E-News and USHJA In Stride magazine, and they will receive a winner's banner to hang at the Ocala show grounds.

The Member's Choice Awards Program, developed by the Show Standards Committee, gives horse show exhibitors and participants the opportunity to award excellence at USEF-licensed hunter jumper competitions through their feedback relating to the competition, the facility where it took place, footing, show personnel, and hospitality.

The goal of the Member's Choice Awards Program is to promote exhibitor-friendly competitions and reward excellence based on the amenities and qualities that exhibitors value. Competitions winning the Best Overall Competition awards will receive a USHJA banner, recognizing their accomplishment.

HITS is happy to win this award and will strive throughout the 2010 show season to make all of their competitions the best for competitors across the country.

Announcements on special classes, judges, course designers, prize money, and more will be made regularly for all of the HITS Horse Show circuits. To learn of the latest news, please become a fan of HITS' page on Facebook and sign up to receive HITS' Twitter updates.
