Dressage riders...2010 is the year to make dreams come true at Dressage at Devon. To celebrate the show's 35th anniversary, the qualifying criteria for the 2010 show have been changed. Minimum qualifying scores have been eliminated giving more riders the opportunity to experience this historic event. Instead, submit your highest scores for the class level entered. These scores will be ranked on closing day to fill the class. This is your chance to ride down center line and join the ranks of the most celebrated dressage competitors in American history. Those participating as spectators will find the 35th anniversary show the most exciting in the event's storied history. More surprises will be unveiled throughout the coming year.

Lori Kaminski, President and CEO of the event, shares the excitement not only of the Board of Directors, but the hundreds of volunteers and thousands of spectators that are involved in the event each year. "Dressage at Devon is a unique and special event. The 35th anniversary will be the best yet. We are planning a wide variety of special guests, special events and other exciting details that will showcase the show's 35 years of history," said Kaminski. "It was also important to us to open the show up to more riders, and that's the idea behind eliminating the minimum scores for the 2010 show."

Those interested in keeping up with the excitement can visit the show's website, www.dressageatdevon.org, become a fan on Facebook or a follower on Twitter.

Kicking off the 35th anniversary festivities is the poster contest. Entries should capture the spirit and excitement of Dressage at Devon and must incorporate the 35th anniversary. Any 2-D medium is accepted - painting, drawing, photography, etc. (Sorry no sculpture.) Entries should be submitted via a high-resolution digital photograph along with an entry form that is available on the show's website. There is no fee for entering the contest, but only one entry per artist.

Opening and closing dates for submission are May 15 - July 1, 2010. The entries will be judged by a three-person panel (TBD). The winner will be celebrated with a cash award of $500 and the artwork will be featured as the 2010 Dressage at Devon poster. The original winning artwork will be raffled off at the show, with 50% of the proceeds going to the artist and 50% benefiting the show. Full details and rules are available on the Dressage at Devon official website.

"Over the years we have seen amazing works of art inspired by Dressage at Devon," Kaminski continued. "We are very excited to see the submissions and know that the judges will have a big challenge in selecting the winner!"
