Cordell Overgaard of Scottsdale, AZ, was appointed to the two-year director’s position on the Paso Fino Horse Association’s (PFHA) Executive Committee at the spring meeting of the Association’s Board of Directors, held April 23, in Atlanta, GA.
Overgaard and his wife, Gail, bought their first Paso Fino eight years ago and now have 15 horses. Overgaard has shown as an amateur owner at PFHA shows across the country and has received a championship and a reserve Championship at the National Show. He also owns the 2002 National High Point Driving Horse and the 2003 High Point Classic Fino Mare.
Overgaard is the president and majority owner of Gore-Overgaard Broadcasting, Inc., which owns and operates radio stations in Florida and California. He is also a director and vice president of a company which publishes newspapers primarily in the Midwest. For several years he practiced law, specializing in corporate law and mergers and acquisitions in Chicago and he is also a certified public accountant.
Overgaard fills the vacancy left when Bill Katich resigned from the Executive Committee at the 2005 PFHA Board of Directors and Membership Convention in January 2005 in Miami, FL.~~~
