2010 United States Eventing Association Ocala Eventing Clinics Announced

Mark your calendars now for the 2010 United States Eventing Association (USEA) Ocala Eventing Clinics, which will run February 1-3, 2010. The USEA has an exciting schedule planned for all eventing enthusiasts.

The clinics will once again be held at Betsy Watkins’ beautiful Longwood Farm South located in Ocala, FL.

On Monday, Lauren Hough will be covering show jumping, and Tuesday will feature Linda Zang’s dressage presentation. The Young Event Horse Judging Seminar and Competition will be conducted on Wednesday.

In addition, Zang will be available for private lessons on Monday (all day) and Wednesday (afternoon) and Mark Phillips will conduct a cross-country clinic on February 3, 2010 (morning).

Tentative Schedule

Monday, February 1, 2010 – Lauren Hough Show Jumping Clinic
8:30 a.m. – Introduction
9:00-10:30 a.m. – Training Level and Young Event Horses
11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – Preliminary Level
1:00-2:00 p.m. – Lunch Break
2:00-3:30 p.m. – Intermediate/Advanced Level

Tuesday, February 2, 2010 – Dressage for Eventing Clinic* with Linda Zang and Marilyn Payne
8:30 a.m. – Introduction
9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – Dressage (levels: TBD)
1:00-2:00 p.m. – Lunch Break
2:00-5:00 p.m. – Dressage (levels: TBD)

Wednesday, February 3, 2010 – Young Event Horse Judging Seminar and Competition
Start time: TBD

Wednesday, February 3, 2010 – Cross-Country Clinic with Mark Phillips (limited space available for riders)
8:30-10:00 a.m. – Training/Preliminary Levels
10:00-11:30 a.m. – Intermediate/Advanced Levels

All days are open to the public. You do not need to be a USEF Licensed Official or ICP Certified Instructor to attend any of the days as a spectator.

To be a spectator please fill out the spectator registration form.

If you wish to be a demo rider, have a private lesson with Linda Zang, or ride in the cross-country clinic with Mark Phillips, please fill out the rider registration form.

Please send in with your registration the Longwood release form.

*If you are a “r” Eventing Judge and do not hold a dressage card, attendance at the February 2, 2010 Dressage Clinic will fulfill your continuing education credit requirement.
