Kelley Farmer and Habana repeated their victory in the Baby Green Hunter division, sponsored by Draper Equine Therapy, at the Equestrian Sport Productions New Year’s Show. It was the second victory in the Baby Green Hunter Championship during the winter show circuit for Farmer and the four-year-old gelding Habana, who is owned by the Spencer Ranch, home of Popeye K, the 2008 and 2009 USEF Hunter Breeding Sire of the Year.

“It is very exciting to see Habana being so consistent at such a young age,” said Kat Wojtylak, Product Manager of Draper Equine Therapy. “I am sure we will be seeing a lot of him in the future, and what a great way to start the New Year for the pair. It is also a huge tribute to Popeye K and the lines that are being passed down to his offspring.”

Rachel Spencer, owner of Habana and Spencer Ranch, said she purchased the hunter as a three-year-old in Europe. Her plans are for the gelding to show in the Pre-Green Division during the circuit with Farmer on board.
