Kentucky Horse Shows, LLC, the management company for hunter/jumper competitions held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY, will be featuring numerous improvements at the state operated facility during the 2010 horse show season. This year Kentucky Horse Shows, LLC, will be hosting the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows, the Kentucky Summer Horse Shows, the Adequan FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships Presented by Gotham North, the USEF Junior Hunter National Championship-East Coast, the USEF National Pony Finals, and the Bluegrass Festival Horse Show at the Kentucky Horse Park, the host of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™.

The newest improvement is currently being made to the Murphy Ring, which is being resurfaced with OTTO Sport footing. This project is being funded by the Kentucky Hunter Jumper Association, the Bluegrass Festival Horse Show and Kentucky Horse Shows, LLC, and will be completed by April 1, well before the beginning of the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows on May 12, 2010.

The OTTO Sport footing has received rave reviews over the past two years, after being used to replace the surfaces in the Stonelea Ring, the Walnut Ring, and the Stonelea/Murphy Schooling Ring. It was also the footing installed in the Main Outdoor Stadium and is available for use in the New Indoor Arena. The OTTO Riding Arena Mat system proved its qualities during the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany, and in other premiere equine events around the world. It is especially valued for its safety properties and outstanding drainage features.

The New Indoor Arena was used for show jumping for the first time last year during the $50,000 CSI-W Lexington Grand Prix in September. The grand prix riders were thrilled with the experience and will have the opportunity to compete there again during the Kentucky Summer Horse Shows.

The Main Outdoor Stadium where the show jumping events for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ will be held, is also a recent addition to the Kentucky Horse Park, having been completed in 2009. This beautiful complex will be used to host the major jumper classes during the two Kentucky Spring Horse Shows, the first Kentucky Summer Horse Show and the Adequan FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships Presented by Gotham North.

The improvements featured at the Kentucky Horse Park will allow Kentucky Horse Shows, LLC, to host world-class competitions that provide exhibitors with a stellar show experience regardless of weather conditions.
