Candidates Sought for Position of USEF National Youth Dressage Coach

Lexington, KY - As part of proposed expansions to United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) National Dressage programs in 2011 the USEF Dressage Committee is now accepting applications for the possible appointment of a USEF National Youth Dressage Coach for 2011. Therefore, the Committee is seeking qualified candidates to fill this position. The primary responsibilities for this coach will be to further the education of riders, trainers, and owners and the importance of proper development of new athletes; conduct USEF Elite Junior/Young Rider Training Sessions; attend Championships to observe and coach competitors; increase awareness and visibility of USEF Youth programs; oversee additional USEF and affiliate programs for pony riders and youth, including clinics, forums, lectures, etc.; and work closely in cooperation with the U.S. Technical Advisor, USEF staff, and USEF Dressage Committees.

Interested parties must submit an application and resume to the USEF National Director of Dressage no later than Friday, April 30, 2010. All applications will be reviewed by the USEF National and High Performance Dressage Committees, U.S. Technical Advisor, and USEF staff. Please note establishment of this position is dependent upon passage of the 2011 budget, which is pending review and approval by the USEF Board of Directors. Therefore, funding for this position may ultimately not be available.
