United States Trotting Association Roadster Classic Announced

The United States Trotting Association (USTA) announced the USTA Roadster Classic as a Roadster to Bike class with $15,000 added total estimated prize money. The class is sponsored by the World’s Championship Horse Show (WCHS) and the American Road Horse and Pony Association in conjunction with the United States Trotting Association. Offered for Standardbred horses that have not been shown prior to Sunday, August 29, 2009, the class will be held during the World’s Championship Horse Show in Louisville, KY, August 22-28, 2010.

Horse must be a Standardbred that is registered either with the USTA or Canadian Trotting Association (CTA), and registration will be checked at Louisville prior to showing. Copy of papers must accompany entries and the ownership must be both current and correct. Participating horses cannot have been shown in any roadster class prior to August 29, 2009. The horse's owner must be a current member of both the USTA and the American Road Horse and Pony Association. Tattoos or freeze brands will be checked before entering the ring.

The nomination fee of $50 must be postmarked no later than June 1, 2010 to avoid a late penalty. Payment should be made to the ARHPA. After June 1 there is a $200 late fee penalty. All entries must be in by Tuesday, June 15, 2010.

The entry closing date for the WCHS is $150. Payment should be made to the World’s Championship Horse Show. The starting fee is due by 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2010, and is $300.

Note: Horses must be entered by the owner/trainer in the World’s Championship Horse Show in this class by the Horse Show’s entry deadline. Rules of USEF and the World’s Championship Horse Show will apply.
