Join eventing legend and Practical Horseman magazine columnist Jim Wofford for a fun and educational cross-country course walk during the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI**** at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington on Friday, April 23, 2010. The course walk is free and included with event admission.

As Wofford discusses the highlights of the course, you’ll gain insight into how the course designer is testing the horses and riders at each obstacle, and why. Find out the best way to approach and leave each obstacle and what the riders must consider at each question. Discover how the materials and build of each jump are important, and learn what they look like from the horses’ perspective.

To participate in this information-packed event, meet Wofford at the cross-country start box 30 minutes after the final dressage ride on Friday, April 23. Plan to spend at least two hours on course. Wear comfortable, waterproof footwear, and come prepared for the weather conditions with an umbrella, jacket, sunscreen, bug spray, water and, if you wish, a portable chair or blanket to sit on.
