USEF Competitions Department Reviewing 2006-2008 License Applications

by by Olivia Arden, USEF | Jun 1, 2005, 9:59 AM

The USEF Competitions Department staff is currently in the process of reviewing the 2006-2008 license applications received in the Federation office for completeness and for outstanding issues. Those applications not considered complete will be sent a follow-up letter, addressed to the Licensee. The Licensee will have 30 days from the receipt of the letter to re-submit the requested information.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the USEF Competitions Department via email at [email protected].

Q: What is the process to obtain USEA and USEF recognition for an Eventing competition?
A: The United States Eventing Association (“USEA”) and the United States Equestrian Federation (“USEF”) have worked together to develop the process for Eventing Competitions to obtain USEA and USEF recognition. Eventing licenses will be granted on a one year basis for the 2006 competition year. The process is as follows:

1. Submit your competition dates to your USEA Area Chair. Be sure to include all days the competition will run.
2. The individual Area Councils will meet and submit their complete calendar to the USEA, NO LATER than August 15, 2005.
3. The USEA Calendar Committee will meet, review the calendar, recommend any changes if necessary and approve the final version. Upon approval, the USEA will submit this calendar to the USEF, no later than September 1, 2005.
4. USEA will notify your Area Chairman and the USEF of the approval of your competition date by September 1, 2005.
5. USEF will begin processing applications for competitions beginning on September 1, 2005. USEF will not process any applications for competitions that have not been approved by USEA.

Reminder: Applications must be submitted prior to publication of the event in the omnibus or 90 days prior to the competition, whichever comes first.
