EV173.2 Corrected in the USEF Online Rule Book

by By Abigail Cook | Jun 11, 2010, 9:12 AM

At USEF’s 2009 Annual Meeting, the following rule change was proposed with a 12/1/09 effective date:

EV173 Technical Delegate. [Chapter EV. Eventing Division] Add:
2. DUTIES.
i. The Technical Delegate shall submit all of the information (course maps, measurements, distances, time requirements and safety recommendations) received from the Course Designer, with the Technical Delegate's report. This will become part of the official record of the Event. See EV 175.2d.

It was disapproved by the Eventing and Licensed Officials Committees and ultimately disapproved by the Board of Directors. However, due to a clerical error it was added into the 2010 Rule Book as an approved rule change.

The 2010 online Rule Book has now been corrected, and an errata list is available that is updated as we find and correct errors in the Rule Book.

Remember, the online Rule Book is always the most up-to-date location for the rules, and it is updated whenever USEF corrects errors such as this one. Please update your USB flash drive if you have one.
