Do you want to learn more about the Morgan, make friends, and showcase your knowledge and skills? Participate in the 2010 Mid-A Youth of the Year Contest! It's a fun way to broaden your knowledge and meet great new people.
Held during the Mid-Atlantic Morgan Horse Show, June 23-26, at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, VA, the contest consists of three parts: pattern, speech, and test on general equine knowledge.
In the past, Mid-Atlantic Youth of the Year winners have included Sharon Picus, who went on to be the 1980 AMHA Reserve Youth of the Year (and Mid-A Club President for many years); Tracy Picus, who went on to be named the 1985 AMHA Youth of the Year; Victoria Woodard, who won the Dayton Sumner Award in the AMHA Youth of the Year contest; Joey Amory went on to be named the 2004 Reserve AMHA Youth of the Year; Katie Butterworth Halloway; and Rebecca Jones.
