June Update for the 2010 Adequan FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships Presented by Gotham North

Revised Entry Requirements for Texas Resident Horses

Due to the prevalence of equine piroplasmosis, caused by Theileria (babesia) equi, entry requirements for the state of Kentucky have been revised to require all Texas resident horses entering Kentucky to be accompanied with a negative test for equine piroplasmosis (cELISA for T.equi) and to have an Entry Permit issued by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. The Office of the Kentucky State Veterinarian is continuing to allow the equine piroplasmosis test to be valid for up to 12 months for entry and is qualifying that horses that have been in Texas less than 30 days are not considered Texas resident equine and can enter or re-enter Kentucky without testing. These revised entry requirements are subject to change as the investigation(s) continues to mature.

Prize List and Definite Schedules

The 2010 Prize List is now available online; all event information including schedules, list of officials and protocols can be found here.

Accreditation

In order to better secure the stabling area during the 2010 NAJYRC the Organizing Committee will be issuing photo credentials. At Nominated Entry time, Chefs will be asked to gather photos from all of riders, grooms and other people who will be requesting stable access during the event. Once at the Kentucky Horse Park, credentials can be picked up at the Competition Services Office, located by the Steeplechase Barn across from the Main Stadium.

All Chefs should have received the required forms and information for accreditation, in the event that you did not receive this please contact Joanie Morris at [email protected].

The Kentucky Club

Serving the hospitality needs of the NAJYRC participants, family and friends, The Kentucky Club will be THE place to be during the 2010 NAJYRC. Conveniently located adjacent to the Main Stadium and the vendor area, the Kentucky Club allows for riders, families and friends to gather for a meal, watch the competition, or just relax.

The tent will serve buffet style breakfast and lunch Wednesday, July 28 through Sunday, August 1. Additionally, the Kentucky Club will host a welcome reception on Wednes¬day evening and competitors party on Saturday night.
