Jumping

The US Show Jumpers stormed to the win at CSIO Rotterdam, the fourth of eight legs in the Meydan FEI Nations Cup Series. The second tour of riders for the US, jumping in their first Meydan Nations Cup of the year, delivered with phenomenal jumping and stopped the French sweep finishing on a score of zero. Their win was a convincing one over the British who finished on seven faults.

Chef d'Equipe George Morris commandeered another dynamic performance out of the US Squad - and they now sit third in the Meydan FEI World Cup Rankings behind France and Great Britain. They head to CSIO Falsterbo July 8-11. Lauren Hough/Quick Study, Candice King/Skara Glen's Davos, Nicole Simpson/Tristan and Laura Kraut/Cedric are on the USEF Long List for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.

On Thursday, Beezie Madden and Mademoiselle got the winning effort started, finishing first in the 1.50m Grand Prix Qualifier. Before the Nations Cup on Friday Candice King and Skara Glen's Naiky D'elca jumped double clear to take second in the 1.40m class. Sunday saw Laura Kraut and Cedric finish third in the Longines Grand Prix Port of Rotterdam behind Rolf-Goran Bengtsson (SWE) and Penelope Leprevost (FRA).
