Two popular New England horse shows, the Fieldstone Summer Showcase and the Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic, are teaming up to form a new horse show series with great offerings for equestrian competitors.

The Fieldstone Summer Showcase/Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic Horse Show Series will feature jumper competition in three divisions with opportunities for great prizes and circuit championship awards. It is set to begin August 25-29 with the Fieldstone Summer Showcase at the Fieldstone Equestrian and Show Facility in Halifax, MA, and it will culminate with the Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic at Silver Oak Equestrian Center in Hampton Falls, NH, September 15-19.

"We are very excited to offer our exhibitors this exciting new series," said Scott Clawson, President of Fieldstone Equestrian and Show Facility. "The Fieldstone Summer Showcase and the Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic are iconic equestrian events in New England, so it makes perfect sense for us to work together to offer something new and exciting to the horse show community."

Riders competing in the Masters 45+ division, the Low Junior/Amateur-Owner and the High Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper divisions will have a chance to win some great prizes at the Fieldstone Summer Showcase/Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic Horse Show Series. The series will keep track of each competitor's points from both shows, and will award the Grand Circuit Championship to the winning horse-and-rider combination in each of the three divisions. The Circuit Champions will be honored in a special award ceremony during intermission on the Coldwell Banker Previews Grand Prix Field prior to the $75,000 Fidelity Investments Grand Prix.

The list of prizes includes free stalls at both show for 2011, a six-month supply of Cavalor feed, a bridle from SmartPak Equine, shavings from Elite Shavings, a pair of t-boots from EquiFit, Inc., VIP Tickets to both the Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic and Fieldstone Summer Showcase Luncheons in 2011, and lessons from some of the best riders in the world: Peter Leone, U.S. Olympic Team Silver medalist; Kevin Babington, 2004 Olympian; and World Cup Rider Christine McCrea. Should the same horse-and-rider combination win both of the Classics in their respective division, they will receive additional awards by Der-Dau and Devoucoux.

"Offering the Circuit Championships for these divisions is something we think everyone will be excited about this year," said Melissa Lovasco, President and CEO of the Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic. "Not only does it elevate the level of competition, but it also serves as a way to recognize and honor those riders who excel at these two horse shows."
