Top Dressage Talent to Ride in New Jersey, June 16-18; USEF Names Riders for 2005 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF National Grand Prix and Intermediaire I Dressage Championships at the USET Foundation Dressage Festival of Champions

Gladstone, NJ – Some of equestrian’s top dressage riders are leading the list of entries for the 2005 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF National Grand Prix and Intermediaire I Dressage Championships, presented by Paul Miller, Inc. Both Championships will take place at the USET Foundation Dressage Festival of Champions, June 16-18, in Gladstone, NJ.

The riders who have been selected to compete in the 2005 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF National Grand Prix Dressage Championship are:

George Williams of Delaware, OH, with Rocher (1991 Westfalen mare) and Marnix (1994 Dutch Warmblood gelding)

Jennifer Schrader of Roy, WA, with Phirst Solo (1988 Oldenburg mare)

Arlene Page of Wellington, FL, with Wild One (1996 Hanoverian gelding)

Pierre St Jacques of Boscawen, NH, with Lucky Tiger (1995 Danish gelding)

Anne Gribbons of Brentwood, NY, with Aureate (1993 Swedish Warmblood gelding)

Michael Barisone of Califon, NJ, with Neruda (1995 Dutch Warmblood gelding)

Karen Lipp of Ball Ground, GA, with Caribi (1993 Danish Warmblood gelding)

Melissa Taylor Yee of Wellington, FL, with Success (1995 Dutch Warmblood gelding)

Katherine Bateson of Wellington, FL, with Rainier (1991 Oldenburg gelding)

Suzanne Dansby Phelps of Atlanta, GA, with Cooper (1992 Holsteiner gelding)

Susan Jaccoma of Arundel, ME, with Jellowa (1991 Dutch Warmblood gelding)

To qualify for the Championship, rider and horse combinations were required to compete in qualifying competitions which took place throughout the country from July 2004 through June 2005. The athletes were required to compete in a Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special at one qualifier and a Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle at a second qualifier.

The riders who have been selected to compete in the 2005 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF National Intermediaire I Dressage Championship are:

Steffen Peters of San Diego, CA, with Marlando (1999 Dutch Warmblood gelding)

Heather Bender of Loxahatchee, FL, with Winwood (1995 Hanoverian gelding)

Silke Rembacz of Flemington, NJ, with Millenium (1994 Dutch Warmblood gelding)

Melissa Taylor Yee of Wellington, FL, with Schumacker Solyst (1994 Dutch Warmblood gelding)

Anne Gribbons of Brentwood, NY, with Alazan (1995 Swedish Warmblood gelding)

Jane Hannigan of Harvard, MA, with Maksymilian (1994 KWPN Dutch Warmblood gelding)

Lindsay Koffler of Lexington, KY, with Alfredo (1991 Hanoverian gelding)

To qualify for the Championship, rider and horse combinations were required to compete in qualifying competitions which took place throughout the country from July of 2004 through June of 2005. These athletes were required to compete in the Prix St. Georges and the Intermediaire I in a minimum of two USEF qualifying competitions. In addition, combinations had to complete one Intermediaire I freestyle at a qualifier.
