Rain Can't Dampen The Start Of The Fieldstone Summer Showcase

Halifax, MA - Despite rainy conditions, the Fieldstone Summer Showcase began its week-long run at the Fieldstone Equestrian & Show Facility in Halifax, MA. The Summer Showcase, which runs August 24-29, features top-notch equestrian competition, great prize money, and nightly parties.
The schedule for this year's Summer Showcase is highlighted by the $35,000 Grand Prix, which will be held on Fieldstone's pristine, all grass Grand Prix field on Saturday afternoon, August 28.

"Despite the inclement weather, we had a successful opening day," said Shawn Clawson, Fieldstone Vice President. "We hope everybody will join us for the exciting competition and fun activities throughout the rest of the week."

Highlighting the opening day's competition was Ali Tritschler, who successfully piloted Clovercroft Honey Bunny, owned by Rabbit Hill Farm LLC, to win the Equisport Insurance/ United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) Pony Medal, sponsored by Esterbrook Farm.

Also taking home top honors was Alexandra Listrani aboard Rio's Merlin, owned by Bridget Love Meehan, who won the 3'3" Open Hunter Championship.

Additional competition highlights throughout the week include the $2,500 Pony Hunter Derby, $5,000 EquiFit, inc. Combined Open Jumper Speed Stake, $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Classic Derby, $5,000 Welcome Stake, $5,000 SmartPak Children's Adult Jumper Classic, $7,500 High Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic, a member event of the Cavalor Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series, $10,000 3'3" Hunter Derby, $35,000 Fieldstone Grand Prix, and the Massachusetts Hunter Jumper (MHJ) Finals.
