The 2010 National show of the International Andalusian and Lusitano Horse Association (IALHA) will be held in the Will Rogers Equestrian Center in Ft. Worth, TX, October 12-17.

We will open the show with a day of breed dressage classes on Tuesday, October 12, including ridden tests at all levels and Dressage Sport Horse In-Hand classes. We are honored to have as our dressage judge USDF Gold medalist and FEI Grand Prix level rider, the Honorable Gail Hoff-Carmona.

On Wednesday, exhibitors who have not yet qualified to participate in certain National Championship classes by participating in one of the IALHA-approved regional shows throughout the year can qualify in Texas by completing that class on Wednesday. Qualifying classes will be judged by the Honorable Marti Grimes of Texas.

On Thursday, October 14, Specialty Halter Classes, horses of different bloodlines (purebred or half-Andalusians), compete in classes specific to their bloodline/type. These will be judged by the Honorable Juan Jose Del Valle Alvarado of Mexico. We will also offer Working Equitation exhibition class for the first time at our National show. Entrants will participate in three different phases of the class: dressage, an obstacle course where obedience and precision are judged, and a speed trial through the obstacles. Señor del Valle is an internationally recognized competitor and judge in this highly popular sport in South, Central America and Europe.

Thursday evening through Sunday morning will include a full slate of National and Grand National Championship halter and saddle classes judged by the honorable Wayne Hipsley of Kentucky, Helen Hogan of Texas and Elizabeth Shatner of California.

Saturday evening, we will feature an action-packed extravaganza!

For more info visit www.ialha.org and look for the National show. This is the only USEF-Recognized National show for this breed of horses (Spanish, Spanish/Portuguese, Lusitano and half Andalusians).
