SmartPak’s Experts are Heading to WEG

Plymouth, MA - For 16 days, the world’s best riders and equine athletes will gather in Lexington, KY, to compete in the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, and SmartPak will be there to welcome them.

The World Equestrian Games are comprised of the world championships for eight equestrian sports. This celebration of athletic excellence and the diversity of the equine industry is a natural setting for SmartPak, a company dedicated to supporting riders of all disciplines and improving the health of the horses they love.

As the nation’s largest direct marketer of equestrian products, SmartPak will have a booth that is sure to be a hit with spectators of all ages, disciplines and levels of experience. Visitors can take advantage of the expert supplement advice and wide selection of tack and apparel that riders expect from SmartPak. In addition, there will be giveaways, raffles, an array of fresh fall fashions from Kingsland, ELT and Gersemi, and expert boot fitting from Sergio Grasso of Italy.

SmartPak’s presence won’t be limited to the Trade Show Village. Spectators will be able to see a little bit of SmartPak in the arenas as well. Two Team SmartPak riders have already been confirmed as competitors for the U.S. Reining Team. Tom McCutcheon is a million dollar rider who has earned gold and silver medals at previous Games, his stallion Gunners Special Nite was the 2007 NRHA Futurity open reserve champion. Tim McQuay is a two million dollar rider and also a WEG Gold and Silver medalist, he rides Palomino Stallion Hollywoodstinseltown who has over $169,000 in earnings.

The list of confirmed competitors may soon be expanding as Team SmartPak riders Allison Springer, Kim Severson, Amy Tryon and Boyd Martin are all vying for spots on the U.S. Eventing Team. The final team list will be announced after the completion of the American Eventing Championships, held September 9-12.
