Offering eager and exquisite horses – this is the challenge the two initiators of the now 31st PSI-Auction have consistently been pursuing over the years. "This year, we are glad to be able to offer a collection of a very homogenous, extraordinary quality," Ullrich Kasselmann happily said. Together with Paul Schockemöhle, he is one of the initiators of this event. Ex-traordinary quality is the standard the international equestrian experts are looking for when they travel to Ankum on the weekend of December 11 and 12. Brand-new: The aging facili-ties in the small Lower Saxonian town recur in a new guise.

The collection features each 50 dressage and show jumping horses. Candidates like the Be-lissimo M-son Blickpunkt are proof that this auction regularly produces first-class competi-tion horses. Blickpunkt was sold in 2008, and he was the celebrated 2009 Federal Champion of five-year-old dressage horses, earning his second bronze medal at the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses in Verden in 2010. „Not only that we are the only auction worldwide that provides insurance cover on the auction sales price with the pur-chaser having the possibility to decide, within 14 days, whether he wants to continue the insurance contract without any additional arduous paper work or vet checks. We also pro-vide the opportunity to continue the horse’s training with our top riders – and this results in excellent successes, like for example with Blickpunkt,” Ullrich Kasselmann says. More and more dressage customers tend to purchase Elite horses aged four and elder. “The customers prefer dependability, they prefer to feel and test the horse more easily and reliably. Most of the horses are still in development at the age of three.”

And there are also new trends for the jumpers. "In recent years, the supple and fast, refined horse has become more and more popular. It is not possible any more to win top-class in-ternational competitions without a quick time. Elasticity has become a basic requirement," Paul Schockemöhle emphasizes.

But it is not only the quality of the horses that turn the PSI-Auction into an extraordinary e-vent. The auction does not end with the acceptance of the bid. "After-Sales" is a keyword – and for the PSI-Auction, this is anything but only a beautiful word.

Personal comments of the rider

by Julia Wentscher

Nice personal statements to P.S.I. horses

Anna Kasparzak @ Future Cup:

Future Cup has been the best master during my Junior/Young Rider years that one could ever wish for.
Whenever I thought that he had reached his peak or his limit, he proved that there was much more in him / that his potential was even greater.

Patrik Kittel @ Debonnet:

Debonnet is not only black and really good looking, he united everything what a rider wants: a great character, a very good temperament & the ambition to do also difficult exercises.
In Cappeln for example I´ve talked to him: “Everything is good, not more Piaffe!” As rider I enjoy to ride a horse with such ambitions and motivation.

Andreas Helgstrand @ Laetare:

Laetare is a top young horse which has talent for everything. We only have to wait that he is old enough for Grand Prix.

Silvia Rizzo Blickpunkt:

I was lucky that day to participate at one of the important annual P.S.I.’s Performance Sales International. When I set my eyes on Blickpunkt, I knew and felt that this was the young dressage horse that I was looking for and who later on won several Championships and Medals.
Thanks to Blickpunkt I was given the opportunity to get to know the P.S.I team and it’s splendid organization in particular Ullrich Kasselmann, Eva and Ulf Muller who supported me all the time in making Blicky a great champion.

George Williams @ Don Bailey

"The Don”, as we affectionately call him, is such a joy to compete. He is naturally supple and loose and has so much expression that he has a real presence in the arena.
We knew from the beginning Don Bailey was the horse for us. He has the quality and the per-sonality that make riding fun.
