The U.S. Saddle Seat Equitation World Cup is in the final stages of planning for the very exciting 2010 International Saddle Seat Equitation World Cup competition, to be held October 6-8 in conjunction with the Kentucky Fall Classic Horse Show at the Shelby County Fairgrounds. This year’s event will be the largest Saddle Seat World Cup event in history as U.S. Team will be taking on three- and five-gaited teams from Canada, Germany, Great Britain and South Africa.

In addition to the competition, the Saddle Seat World Cup will present demonstrations on the final two days of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. The demonstrations are set for Saturday, October 9, at 5 p.m. and Sunday, October 10, at 11 a.m. Both demonstrations will be held in the Equine Village Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park. Admission to the demonstrations is free with General Admission to the WEG.

The demonstration program will highlight equestrian athletes from all five nations competing in the International Saddle Seat World Cup and will feature 60 participants and 12 horses. Both three- and five-gaited equitation will be showcased. Horses will include American Saddlebreds, Morgans, Arabians, National Show Horses and Friesians, with riders demonstrating the precision of Saddle Seat Equitation patterns, as well as the power and grace of these horses on the rail.
