Lexington, KY - The FEI World Para Dressage Championships came to a close today with the Grade IV Individual Freestyle Test. The Kentucky Equine Research U.S. Para-Equestrian Dressage Team sent four riders into the ring to perform their tests to music.

First in the ring for the U.S. was Mary Jordan of Wells, ME riding her own Paxton Abbey. Jordan and the 12-year-old Hanoverian mare performed a steady test that stayed perfectly in step with their Big Band music. The pair rode to a score of 66.00% leaving them in fifteenth place. With the exception of a brief hiccup, Jordan was pleased with her test and enjoyed her time at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.

"I really liked my test until I had a little mind blank. I had to think on my feet and regroup," said Jordan. "It's just an incredible achievement to be here."

Jennifer Baker (Loveland, OH) and Akiko Yamazaki's Kranak were next in the ring for The Kentucky Equine Research U.S. Para-Equestrian Dressage Team. This test was not only their last test of these championships but also the final test of the 18-year-old gelding's career, as he will now move back to
Yamazaki's Four Winds Farm for his retirement.

The pair performed a flashy test highlighted by their final enterline, which involved extended canter to an immaculate halt. Baker enjoyed riding her freestyle this morning and the opportunity to compete against world class competition. "It was fun, it was a good time. I enjoyed being able to show against
other nations."

Baker and Kranak scored a 64.4% leaving them in 17th place.

Susan Treabess and Katy Peterson's Dutch-bred mare, Moneypenny, followed Baker into the ring. Treabess (Winters, CA) performed a stunning test scoring a 69.65% on the strength of expressive lateral work and adding a degree of difficulty by performing flying changes executed on the circle.

"I'm very happy it landed like that," said Treabess "She was on today, so you can't ask for more than that."

This pair were the highest place Americans finishing in 10th place.

The final member of The Kentucky Equine Research U.S. Para-Equestrian Dressage Team to contest the freestyle at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games was Robin Brueckmann (Summerfield, NC) and Elly Schobel's Raison D'Etre. Brueckmann and the American Warmblood gelding performed a test that
played to the personality and horse's exceptional gaits.

"He's a light and fluffy horse and I wanted light and fluffy music," said Brueckmann "The trot-work was
quite good and he has an exceptional walk so that was good too."

The pair finished in fourteenth place with a score of 68.50%.

Sophie Wells and Pinocchio of Great Britain captured the Gold Medal with Belgian Michele George and FBW Rainman claiming Silver and Frank Hosmar and Tiesto from The Netherlands winning the Bronze Medal.
