Harrisburg, PA - Junior rider Eirin Bruheim of Nordic Lights Farm traveled all the way from Texas this past weekend to compete at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show with her talented mount Cicero 75. The pair showed in the Junior Jumper Prix des States event representing Zone 7 and helped their team garner the fifth place prize.

Bruheim began the Junior Jumper Prix des States competition right on target during the Speed Phase held on Thursday. She and Cicero 75 completed a beautiful round and sat just two faults behind the leaders for Zone 7. The next day, the pair had just one rail during the first round and was fault free during the second round. They added just six faults to their team's overall score and took home the fifth place honors.

The faults from the Junior Jumper Prix des States events carried over for the Junior Jumper Individual Finals held on Saturday. The duo had two faults when they competed over the large, technical course designed by Steve Stephens. Their 14-fault total earned them the ninth place award individually.

"Cicero 75 was excellent this weekend," commented Bruheim. "He jumped great on Thursday and he had so much energy in the indoor ring. During Friday's second round he jumped hard and went very fast which was really great. It was so much fun and I am glad I had the opportunity to represent Zone 7 during the Prix Des States."

Now Bruheim's younger sister, Lene Bruheim, will represent Nordic Lights Farm by competing in the Children's Jumpers and Children's Hunter divisions at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show. Next week both girls will travel to Washington, DC, to compete during the prestigious Washington International Horse Show.

Nordic Lights Farm is a 70-acre establishment located in Tomball, TX, that was founded in 2007 by the Bruheim family to help further the equestrian goals of 18-year-old Eirin Bruheim and 16-year-old Lene Bruheim. Both girls have worked their way up through the ranks and are currently competing at the top levels in the hunter and jumper divisions aboard their incredible string of horses.
