Full Schedule of Fun and Educational Events Lined Up for Syracuse Invitational Sporthorse Tournament featuring the 127th National Horse Show

Cazenovia, NY - The Syracuse Invitational Sporthorse Tournament featuring the 127th National Horse Show looks forward to another fantastic year of equestrian competition and is pleased to invite spectators to many exciting events throughout the week. Held from November 2-7, the Syracuse Invitational welcomes the National Horse Show to Syracuse along with top-ranked equestrians from across the U.S. and from around the world to compete in the War Memorial at the Oncenter Complex. Besides the highest level of competition, competitors and spectators alike will enjoy shopping, entertainment and dining along with the rich history and tradition of the National Horse Show.

As is the tradition at Syracuse, there will be a host of educational and local community involvement events scheduled throughout the week. A full slate of free and ticketed clinics will be featured throughout the week at the Equestrian Expo in the convention center. Topics include: USHJA Information seminar; Youth Day at the Invitational which includes the Third Annual Equine Career and College Fair, the George Morris Photo Critique; Health and Wellness seminars for the Human Athlete; WEG Recap; and the Ready-to -Ride educational seminars.

The SI Horseman's College 2010 has a phenomenal line-up of clinics including: "Feeding for Health and Performance of the Equine Athlete"; "Equine Wellness for the Performance Horse"; "Preparing Mentally for Success in the Ring"; and "Survival Seminar for helping Young Athletes Thrive in Sports, School, and Life".

The I LOVE NY HORSES Art Show will be returning for a second year and a new photo/essay contest entitled "Horses Are My Heroes" will be a new addition to the week.

Highlights of the Tournament will include the NEW $50,000 Hunter Classic presented in honor of Charlie Weaver, the $100,000 FEI World Cup Qualifier of Syracuse, the $80,000 Sporthorse Cup, as seen on Animal Planet, the NEW Atlas Fence Local Competition Day, the National Horse Show ASPCA Maclay Championship and the $60,000 Spy Coast Farm High Junior/Amateur- Owner Jumper Championship.

Competition tickets are on sale for the Syracuse Invitational through the Oncenter Box Office (315-435-2121) and Ticketmaster. The Syracuse Invitational Sporthorse Tournament is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization that benefits Cornell University Equine Hospital and Vera House.
