Hoof-Care Summit to Provide Learning, Networking

by By Stephanie Doyle | Dec 15, 2010, 9:26 AM

Registration is underway for the eighth annual International Hoof-Care Summit Conference (IHCS) featuring eight general sessions, 13 hoof-care classrooms, 24 hoof-care roundtables, 24 how-to clinics, and a trade show highlighting the newest footcare products and services. The event will be held February 1-4, 2011, at Duke Energy Center and Cincinnati’s Hyatt Regency Hotel in Cincinnati, OH.

The 2011 theme, “Coming Together for Better Hoof Care,” reflects the mood of hoof-care professionals throughout North America who are eager to learn the latest cutting-edge ideas to boost their profitability, efficiency and footcare skills.

Conference organizers cite Top 10 reasons why the Hoof-Care Summit “will differ from any other even you have ever attended:”

• Featuring an extremely valuable combination of general sessions, farrier classrooms, "face-to-face" shoeing roundtables and a trade show unlike any the industry has ever seen before.
• Providing an in-depth, unbiased program aimed at meeting specific shoeing needs without pushing any specific trimming ideas, shoeing techniques or political agendas.
• Delivering only solid shoeing ideas and product innovations without any live shoeing, shoe making, contests or tours.
• Offering a 100% educational program in an exciting new format for a breath of fresh air to the entire footcare industry.
• Recognizing that every minute of this intensive 4-day event will be geared toward helping you shoe better. Plus, unparalleled opportunities for non-stop networking with highly successful shoers and equine vets from around the country and the world.
• Identifying the latest field-tested tips, tricks and techniques for solving the 13 most critical footcare problems faced each day.
• Analyzing your ideas and opinions in an extraordinary "hoof-care think-tank" designed around meeting your specific shoeing needs.
• Picking up just one rock-solid, money-making idea from these intensive sessions will more than pay your cost for attending this event.
• Steering this event is a 12-member advisory board of farriers, vets and suppliers who will serve as a valuable "sounding board" to make this the best hoof-care conference ever.
• Building a dynamic conference program that will make farriers and equine vets say, "This conference is for me."

Conference cost is $295. Registering early saves—the fee will increase to $349 after January 3, 2011. Each IHCS attendee will receive a year subscription to American Farriers Journal. Veterinarians and veterinary technicians who attend will be able to earn continuing education credits.
