SHN Payback Announces 2010 Program Winners

Columbia, MD- Sport Horse National Payback (SHN Payback) today announced the top winners for the 2010 season. Mirage V+++// with two Reserve Championships and three Top Ten wins narrowly captured Super Stallion honors. Beth Conti of Catori Creek Arabians in Arizona received a trophy, ribbon and custom embroidered cooler. The prizes were donated in memory of the 2008 Top SHN Payback Sire, Bey Oro, owned by Mark and Tania Dunlap. KB Omega Fahim+++//, Al-Marah Asterisk++, and Annapolis++/ rounded out the strong group of Top Show Stallion contenders.

More than $37,000 was awarded in 2010 to winners in dressage, hunters, jumpers, carriage driving and sport horse in-hand and under saddle. Leading the Top 5 Money Winners for 2010 was AM Mighty Hector++++// with $4,263, bred and owned by Bazy Tankersley. Taking it seriously, half-Arabian TL Foolin Around+// brought home $3,130 for owner Ricci Desiderio. Another half-Arabian gelding, Romeos Spitfire followed with $2,610 for owners Christine and Jessica McReynolds. Also winners of $2,610 each were purebreds AM Star OfHonor++++// owned by Wendy Davis, and the only mare in the top 5, ALasting Love VF+++//, owned by Dianne Peltak.

AM Good OldBoy+ took honors as the #1 Payback Sire whose offspring amassed the most points this year at the Sport Horse Nationals. Bred and owned by Bazy Tankersley, he earned a check for $1,885. In the #2 spot and taking home the same amount for owner Patti Capps, was Saladins Allon+. Al-Marah Arabians and owner Bazy Tankersley of Arizona, also captured coveted SHN Top Owner prize of $8,323.
