The 64th Annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show wrapped up last week at WestWorld in Scottsdale, Ariz. As one of the largest horse shows on North American soil for Arabian and Half-Arabian/Anglo-Arabian horses, the event boasted over 2,200 horses from 15 countries and 48 states. Despite the historically unprecedented cold and rainy weather for the area, over 200 staff and volunteers worked to put on this premier event for the nearly 6,000 spectators in attendance. The 11-day horse show served as the first major event for members of US Equestrian affiliate, the Arabian Horse Association and its club, the Arabian Horse Association of Arizona, hosts of this premier event. The 2020 event will take place from February 13-23.

History of the Annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show
By: Arabian Horse Association of Arizona
Since 1955, the Annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show has set the pace in the Arabian horse world. The first show was held at the grounds of the Arizona Biltmore Hotel which was a beautiful setting for a horse show. The Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show was a first class show from the very first day.
After the show's beginnings at the Arizona Biltmore, Ann McCormick bought 150 acres in Scottsdale and made it into the horse facility known as Paradise Park which served the needs of the show for many years.
Since that time, the show has been held at WestWorld in Scottsdale. It has grown from 50 horses to over 2,000 horses bringing top owners, trainers, and breeders from around the world competing for a chance at winning.
