Lexington, KY - Each year two Shetland Ponies are honored with Shetland People’s Choice Awards. Members of both the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and the American Shetland Pony Club are invited to cast their votes in favor of their favorite Shetland Harness Pony and their favorite Shetland Roadster Pony.

In 2010 two exceptional Harness Ponies were honored by their peers. Abracadabra owned by Cathy Harris, DVM, of Richmond, MO, and Tam’s Little Darling owned by Roger Slobody of West Brookfield, MA, received an equal number of votes to win the Shetland People’s Choice Harness Pony Award.

The People’s Choice Roadster Pony for 2010 was Dunhaven Expressive owned by Cathy Harris, DVM, of Richmond, MO.

All three ponies were honored in January during the USEF Annual Meeting at the Horse of the Year awards banquet in Lexington, KY, and will have their names engraved on ASPC perpetual trophies.
