Lincoln, NE - February 17, 2011 - The Renee Isler Dressage Support Fund, established at The Dressage Foundation, will provide funding to enable Courtney Dale (ID) to participate in the Region 6 FEI Junior/Young Rider Dressage Clinic in Woodinville, WA, on February 26-27, 2011.

Courtney applied to the United States Dressage Federation and was accepted to participate in the upcoming clinic. However, she needed some financial help to make it happen. Courtney received an $800 scholarship from The Dressage Foundation's Renee Isler Dressage Support Fund, which Renee established in 2008 to provide financial help for young riders to attend the FEI Jr/YR Clinics.

Said Renee, "My goal for this sponsorship is to assist Junior/Young Riders to meet and reach their dreams. I believe the sport should provide more support for young riders trying to enter the dressage world. The sport of dressage is about learning, working and volunteering to really get where you want."

"I have always had a deep love for horses," said Courtney. "My goals are to become the best rider I can be, to honor my sport, and respect my equine partner. One of my goals for this year is to join the FEI Young Rider Team with my wonderful horse, Fortune. I wish to thank Renee Isler and The Dressage Foundation for the support!"

The United States Dressage Federation conducts the educational FEI Jr/YR Clinics annually. Since 2004, The Dressage Foundation has provided significant funding support. Participating Young Riders must apply to, and be accepted by USDF. For those who are chosen, these clinics provide group instruction, individual lessons, and much "up close and personal" education attention. Over the years, USDF has identified student applicants whose individual situations call out for financial assistance. The Renee Isler Dressage Support Fund provides up to nine individual grants annually of $800, one for each USDF geographic region.
