First Show of CAL-AHA Season Attracts Nearly 100 Riders

Burbank, CA - The Rainbow Royal Andalusian, Fresian, Saddlebred and Open Horse Show - CAL-AHA's first show of the 2011 show season - was held at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center under blue skies with temperatures in the mid-70s - perfect for the horses and exhibitors.

The 3-day event, March 4-6, featured a full slate of classes for Pure and Partbred Andalusians/ Lusitanos, Pure and Partbred Friesians, Saddlebreds and classes open to all breeds in english, western, saddle seat, dressage hack, costume, egg and spoon, dollar bill bareback, trail, driving, liberty and more. Even though it was early in the year, 95 horses participated throughout the weekend with the youngest exhibitor, 6-month-old Taylor, riding and many of baby boomers+ participating as well.

The Alliance sponsored and provided red, white and blue sash ribbons for the High Point Award for the high point Pure and Partbred Andalusian/Lusitano horse of the show.

High Point Purebred Horse of the show: Kripton Seni II - Owned by Joe & Nancy Latta - Amandalusian Farms
High Point Half Andalusian Horse of the show: Fuego Amor - Owned by Monica Stock and Angela Tinsley.

The combination of the positive energy of show management, enthusiastic exhibitors of all ages, and most of all the wonderful horses. A great time was had by all.
