Eventing
The Fork CIC3* (Norwood, NC) marked the final preparation for many eventing horses headed to the important spring CCI4*s on both sides of the Atlantic.
But for Jennie Brannigan it was a weekend of returning to form, she made an impressive come back from an injury to win the CIC3* with Cambalda. It was Brannigan's first event since breaking her collar bone riding a young horse this winter. Second after the dressage, they jumped one of only 10 double clear cross country rounds to take the lead and sealed the win with a foot-perfect show jumping trip. Dressage winner Clark Montgomery had a handful of cross country time faults and a rail down to finish third with Loughan Glen in the horse's first CIC3*. Canadian Stephanie Rhodes-Bosch jumped up from 10th after the dressage to finish on her dressage score and slip into second place on Port Authority. Many top horses and riders utilized The Fork for their spring preparations at all levels, as the event also ran horse trials from Preliminary to Advanced.

It was Farrington's first win at the Invitational and he left two of the sport's legends, and former winners, in his wake. Ian Millar was second on Star Power and McLain Ward was third on Rothchild, Margie Engle rounded out the top four on Indigo.
