Lexington, KY - Land Rover North America and The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) announced today that they have extended their successful relationship through 2012. Land Rover, the leader in world-class Sport Utility Vehicles, has signed on for an additional two years as the official vehicle sponsor of the USEF, as well as the 2011 U.S. Eventing Team.

"Land Rover vehicles are defined by their sophistication, power, control and capability -- all traits embodied in the sport of eventing," said Kim McCullough, brand vice president, Land Rover North America. "A continued partnership with the United States Equestrian Federation is a perfect fit for our brand, and we look forward to showcasing our vehicles at a number of exciting and dynamic sporting events."

As part of the sponsorship, Land Rover will once again be the Official Vehicle of the 2011 and 2012 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by Bridgestone. This year's event runs April 28- May 1. Throughout the weekend, guests will have the opportunity to drive some of the brand's newest models, including the 2011 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and the Land Rover LR4 on a specially designed off-road course. This coveted event is critical in the eventing calendar and is considered by the High Performance Committee as an event that will play a large role in developing athletes aiming for the 2012 London Olympic Games.

"The Land Rover brand is renowned for combining elegance and power, two traits essential to the U.S. Eventing Team," said USEF President David O'Connor. "We could not think of a better brand partner in this category and look forward to and appreciate their continued support of the Federation and the sport of eventing."

Building on last year's support of the U.S. Eventing Team, USEF and Land Rover have created a new initiative, the Land Rover Competition and Training Grant Program for Eventing Riders. The Program will benefit horse and rider combinations allowing them to compete abroad and gain valuable International experience as they prepare for the 2012 London Olympic Games. Grant recipients will be offered assistance at International competitions that will serve as selection trials for the Olympic Games, and are an annual showcase of some of the very best eventing competition in the world.
