Traverse City, MI - Horse Sports by the Bay, Inc., is pleased to announce that the official prize list to the Dressage by the Bay Summer Series is now available to view online at www.horseshowsbythebay.com. The two back-to-back USDF Level 3 rated shows are being held at Flintfields Horse Park in scenic Traverse City, MI, this summer from June 30-July 2, 2011, and are the only rated dressage shows in Northern Michigan.

Judges include Joan Maccartney (S), Adrienne Pot (S), William Solyntjes (S, R-DB), and Kristi Wysocki (S, r-DB). Janine Malone will be serving as the United States Equestrain Federation (USEF) Technical Delegate.

This popular vacation destination type event offers a full schedule of classes ranging from Training through Grand Prix Level plus multiple opportunities to qualify for the GAIG/USDF Regional Championships and USDF Breeders Championships. The feature event of the series is set to take place on Friday, July 1 and includes the $5,000 FEI Musical Freestyle Competition and Dressage4Kid's Charity Fundraiser/Exhibitor Social.

Flintfields Horse Park offers stabling for more than 1,000 horses, warm-ups for every show ring, a separate lunging ring, quality sound system, a 33-site boutique campground and plenty of spectator/seating areas. New for the 2011 season includes the installation of the Ebb and Flow Footing System in the Grand Prix Ring and it's warm up. This type of system has been used in various high performance arenas nation-wide including the FEI Schooling area at the Winter Equestrian Festival, Havensafe Farm's dressage training facility in Wellington, FL and the Cleveland Metro Park's main competition ring. A complete re-do of the footing in the R.L. Polk Family Ring, Ring 3, and their corresponding warm ups is also in the works. Dave Steffee of Steffee Surfaces is overseeing the project.

Located just a few miles west of the show grounds is Traverse City which is known for their fabulous resort-like destination community complete with fine dining, boutique shopping, aqua-marine water ways, and first-rate golf courses.

Summer horse park activity starts mid June with the production of two local schooling events, including the Stepping Stones Dressage Schooling Show. Entries are now being accepted for both Dressage and Horse Shows by the Bay with a final deadline of June 1 for all reservations.
