Lexington KY - The Kentucky Spring Horse Shows is one of the nation's premier hunter/jumper events, and will be kicking-off its two weeks of competition with the Kentucky Spring Horse Show May 11-15, 2011, and will conclude with the Kentucky Spring Classic May 18-22, 2011. This incredible event is proud to offer only the best to all of its exhibitors, with Otto Sport Footing in the main rings that will be used throughout the two weeks. The Kentucky Spring Horse Shows are held in the heart of horse country at the world famous Kentucky Horse Park, in Lexington, KY, which was also the site of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.

Last year's installation of the OTTO Sport Footing in the Murphy Ring, combined with the 2009 conversion of the Stonelea Ring and the Main Hunter Schooling Area to the Otto surface provides hunter competitors with the best footing in the world. The jumpers have the same luxury with the OTTO Sport Footing in both the Walnut Arena and the Rolex Stadium. The Rolex Stadium was also the site for the 2010 World Equestrian Games Show Jumping competition. The most recent improvement was the construction of a second OTTO Sport warm-up area for the Rolex Stadium. This new warm-up area will be dedicated to the use of the horses stable in the FEI area.

The OTTO Sport Footing has received rave reviews for its special drainage and safety properties. The OTTO Riding Arena Mat System includes special drainage features with the OTTO perforated mats ensuring that water drains off quickly during an event of excessive rainfall and precipitation. The mats offer non-slip properties, the ability to absorb shock, and are complemented with a special footing mixture that is ideal for equestrian competition.

During the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows, exhibitors will have the opportunity to showcase their mounts on the OTTO Sport Footing throughout each week of competition. During the Kentucky Spring Horse Show, the highlight events will include the $15,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby, the $30,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic, CSI 2*, and the $55,000 Commonwealth Grand Prix. The Kentucky Spring Classic is a WCHR Week, and highlights will include the second $30,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic, CSI 2*, and the $55,000 Mary Rena Murphy Grand Prix, CSI 2* sponsored by Audi of Lexington.

The numerous improvements that Kentucky Horse Park underwent in preparation for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games allows Kentucky Horse Shows, LLC, to host world-class competitions that provide exhibitors with a stellar show experience regardless of weather conditions.
