Dutch Warmblood Studbook Announces 2005 Inspection Tour

by By the Dutch Warmblood Studbood in North America | Jul 22, 2005, 1:57 AM

The Dutch Warmblood Studbook in North America (NA/WPN), a department of the Royal Warmblood Studbook of The Netherlands (KWPN), will be holding its annual "Keuring" tour (inspection and evaluation of breeding stock) from September 7-22, 2005. The tour includes two sites in Canada and ten in the U.S.

All locations offer classes for young horses, mares, geldings and stallions. Classes for stallion approval are offered only at Iron Spring Farm (PA), DG Bar Ranch (CA) and Oakwood Stables in Winnipeg (MB). A special keuring for KWPN Harness Horses classes will be offered in Kentucky. Horses will be evaluated by an experienced jury, consisting of a KWPN Inspector from Holland and KWPN trained jury members from North America.

KWPN Dutch Warmblood horses are found at the top levels of competition in every major international event in the world. Jumpers such as Judgement and Authentic (Beezie Madden), Little Big Man (Laura Chapot) and Anthem (Laura Kraut), as well as top international dressage competitors like Grandeur (Steffen Peters), Mark (Leslie Reid), Kingston (Leslie Morse) and Idocus (Marlies van Baalen).

A keuring is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the Dutch Warmblood horse (KWPN) and to view future competitors and breeding stock.

For more information, check the NA/WPN website at www.nawpn.org, or call the office at (541) 459-3232.
