ParaEquestrian Classification Clinic Available Through USEF

by Sarah Evers | Jul 27, 2005, 3:58 PM

The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) will be sponsoring a ParaEquestrian Classification Clinic, September 9-10, at Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center in Woodinville, WA. The clinic will be open to a maximum of ten physicians or physical therapists and is designed to help them recognize and classify eligible riders and drivers with physical disabilities in preparation for national competition. There will also be discussion about the modified classification system in development for USEF ParaEquestrian. The course will include lecture, discussion and demonstration, along with supervised practice of the classification process.

The clinic is free to USEF members; the cost for those without a USEF membership will be $50. Auditors are welcome if space permits.

For registration information, contact Andrea Ice at (859) 225-6977, or via e-mail at [email protected]. For course information and general questions, contact Joann Benjamin at (818) 907-0971, or via e-mail at [email protected].
