Lexington, KY – The All American Horse Classic (AAHC) will welcome the nation’s top horses and riders to the Indiana State Fairgrounds in September.

Offering over $650,000 in awards, the All American is renowned for its “Breeders Showcase” events, one of the highlights of which is the American Saddlebred Registry (ASR) Sweepstakes for two, three and four-year-olds, as well as the All American Cup, the American Hackney Horse Society (AHHS) Hackney Limited Breeders Stakes, and the American Saddlebred Futurity of Indiana. The ASR Two-Year-Old Sweepstakes will show in two divisions in 2011: Fine Harness and Three Gaited Park. The Registry paid out over $213,000 to owners of Sweepstakes winners in 2010.

The AAHC also spotlights the best in amateurs and equitation, featuring the United Professional Horsemen's Association's (UPHA) Senior and Junior Pleasure Challenge Cup Championships, the Adult UPHA Challenge Cup Championship and the UPHA Five-Gaited Horsemanship Finals.

New for 2011 will be classes for Junior Exhibitor Three Gaited Park, ASB Park Pleasure Driving, Open English Pleasure Driving and a Saddle & Bridle Hunter Classic. Back by popular demand will be the UPHA Ladies Five-Gaited Pink Ribbon Stake, which will compete on Thursday, September 8. As one of the top five shows in the nation raising money through the UPHA Pink Ribbon program, the All American will present a $10,000 grant to a local breast cancer charity during the 2011 Pink Ribbon Ladies Five-Gaited Stake.

Marking the cards in the Saddlebred and Open English Pleasure divisions, plus all events in the All American Cup, ASR Sweepstakes and Saddlebred Futurity of Indiana will be James Nichols, Randy Cates and Tom Bombolis. Mary Lou Greenwell, Randy Cates and James Nichols will tie the Roadster and Open English Pleasure Driving classes.

Renae Van Zomeren, James Nichols and Tom Bombolis will judge the UPHA Pleasure, Adult and Five-Gaited Challenge Cup Championships. Mary Lou Greenwell will decide the Hackney, Friesian, Equitation and Carriage classes and will be one of three judges for the AHHS Limited Breeders Stakes along with Josh Greer.

The AAHC is going “green” again in 2011 – printed prize lists will be available by request only. Instead, the prize list, entry blank and all other forms will be emailed to exhibitors and are now available at the show’s website at www.allamericanhorseclassic.net. The AAHC is pleased to offer exhibitors the option of paying entries by credit card: the show will accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. The All American Classic benefits Strides To Success, a local Equine Assisted Learning facility in Plainfield, Indiana.
