USEF and Program Schedule: The International Bromont Is Making It Better For Riders

by Phelps Media Group, Inc. International | Jun 22, 2011, 2:00 PM

Bromont, Quebec - Following the major improvements undertaken in 2010 - in particular, the footing in the rings - the International Bromont carries on in order to welcome all riders in the best environment possible.

"For 2011, we decided to invest in the hunter division," said Roger Deslauriers, show Manager. He added, "the work done in 2010 has affected the entire site but mostly the show jumping facilities, particularly with the changes of the footing in the rings. This year, we are planning some innovations for hunter classes."

With the increasing popularity of hunter events, the International Bromont opted to promote American riders' participation by getting a United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) certification for a number of the division classes. Therefore, the points obtained in Bromont events will count for the National American ranking. There is also a new ring to hold additional classes.

The International Bromont has also made innovations to its program. For example, there are three new classes in the Jumper division: the Royal Canin Challenge, Hunting competitions and a Hit and Hurry event. |

With improvements to the site and a new program, the organizing committee is confident that the 2011 edition will be successful. Riders will spend two unforgettable weeks of competitions in the picturesque setting of the Eastern Townships.

International Bromont, a leader in hunter and jumper events, offers two weeks of competitions from July 20th to 24th and July 27th to 31st 2011 and, as for the last 36 years, this event will take place in the Eastern Townships region of Quebec, a short distance from the Vermont border. It is the biggest horseshow in Eastern Canada with a total prize money of over $400,000 and one of five major Canadian events on the Word Cup circuit.
