by Jennifer Ward/Starting Gate Communications | Jul 13, 2011, 8:35 AM

Bromont, Quebec – JustWorld International will once again partner with the annual L’International Bromont, bringing fun and fundraising to the two-week show jumping tournament held July 20-24 and July 27-31 in Bromont, Quebec.

The humanitarian organization will kick off its first of three fundraising efforts on Saturday, July 23, with the popular JustWorld International Horseless Horse Show, scheduled to take place at 5 p.m., immediately following the Speed Derby. Competitors will race around a course of obstacles on foot, trying to leave the jumps in place while finishing in the fastest time. For a $10 entry fee, participants can choose to compete in the Short Stirrup Jumpers, Children’s Jumpers, Pairs Class, Team Relay Race and Puissance (High Bar) Competition.

On Monday, July 25, the JustWorld International Benefit Golf Tournament will take place at the Chateau Bromont Golf Course. The tee-off time is 11 a.m. and games will be played in a cross-over format to minimize delays. The inscription fee for the golf tournament is $200 per person, with a portion going to support JustWorld’s humanitarian projects. The fee includes a golf cart rental and the JustWorld dinner at Auberge Chateau Bromont. In addition, all participants will receive a leather golf belt courtesy of Landes Belts.

While the golfers take to the course, other family members are welcome to swim in the pool or play volleyball at Auberge Chateau Bromont.

All are invited to attend the JustWorld dinner, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Monday evening, for $80 per person. A five-course fiesta-style Italian dinner will be served at the ‘La Trattoria’ restaurant at the Auberge Chateau Bromont, sponsored by Burkman Capital Corporation. To further benefit JustWorld, tickets will be sold at the dinner for a draw to win one of two 32GB BlackBerry Playbooks donated by Burkman Capital Corporation. Additional prizes include a pair of VIP passes for the International Bromont Horse Show, donated by Parc équestre Bromont; two tickets to the Craig Ferguson Gala at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal; and a signed reproduction of the Claude Le Sauteur painting entitled “Le Satire.”

The JustWorld International Horseless Speed Derby, Presented by Ogilvy Equestrian, will take place on Thursday, July 28 at 4 p.m. Highly entertaining, grand prix riders will race each other over a challenging mini-jump course to claim bragging rights. An exhibitor corn roast tops off the day’s fun.

JustWorld will have a booth set up under the Equus Pocus Tent for the duration of the two-week competition where participants can register for the Horseless Horse Show and the golf tournament, or learn more about JustWorld’s international projects and Ambassador Riders. The JustWorld Mini Ponies will be present at the booth throughout the week and will also traverse the show grounds to collect funds and raise awareness for JustWorld International projects.

With show jumping riders around the world signing up to become JustWorld Rider Ambassadors, Executive Director Jessica Newman has mobilized some of the sport's biggest names towards supporting JustWorld’s projects.
