Murfreesboro, TN — Paso Fino horse owners in the Mid-South will have one last opportunity on Aug. 19-21, 2011, to qualify their horses for the 2011 Paso Fino Horse Association’s (PFHA’s) Grand National Show & Expo at the Volunteer Spirit Show in Murfreesboro, TN.

Volunteer Spirit, which will be held at Tennessee Livestock Center on the Middle Tennessee State University campus, will feature all classes and divisions that will be offered at Nationals. This is an AP/USEF local show with double points and four judges, two of whom — Nicanor Miranda and Alice Page — will also be judging at the Nationals.

“This year’s show will be fun for exhibitors and attendees alike,” said Tennessee Valley Paso Fino Horse Association President Norman Timbs. “In addition to the classes offered through the show, special events include a youth pizza party, dinner, Stallion Showcase and Silent Auction and an Obstacle Challenge. This gives everyone an opportunity to see the versatility and talent of some of our breed’s best horses.”

The Obstacle Challenge, new to this year’s show, will be held in the outdoor arena following the Trail Class on Sunday, Aug. 21, and present challenges to both horses and riders. Prizes will be offered in the Youth, Amateur and Professional Divisions.
