by Yellow Horse Marketing for the California Dressage Society | Aug 13, 2011, 11:51 AM

Rancho Murieta, CA - The 44th Annual California Dressage Society Championship Show presented by HorseShow.com will be held October 6 - 9, 2011 at the Murieta Equestrian Center in Rancho Murieta, CA. With more than $29,000 in prize money and awards, this competition will also feature the popular CDS Young Horse Futurity (including the Cal-Bred Futurity), the Great American Insurance Group/USDF Region 7 Dressage Championships, and the Great American Insurance Group/USDF Breeders Championships West Coast Series Final. The esteemed judging panel will include Natalie Lamping, Lorraine Macdonald, Joan Macartney, Jeanne McDonald, Paula Lacy, Sue Mandas, Mike Osinski, Scott Peterson, William Warren, and Kristi Wysocki.

Due to numerous show cancellations resulting from the EHV-1 outbreak earlier this year, qualifying scores have been modified for the 2011 season. For Training through Fourth Levels, four (4) scores are required from three (3) different judges. For the FEI levels, two (2) qualifying scores are needed from two (2) different judges. Percentage requirements have not been changed, nor have freestyle requirements been modified.

Don't miss this showcase of the best West Coast horses and riders! Whether participating as a rider, sponsor, volunteer, or spectator, this is an event not to be missed. Special evenings of entertainment will be featured on Friday and Saturday, and sponsorships available in all price ranges with special VIP seating, sponsor boards, program advertising, banners, and more. The Championship show prize list is now available on the CDS website, www.california-dressage.org, and remember—entries close Friday, September 2nd.
