This year the $10,000 Hermès Hunter Classic was opened to Amateur-Owner competitors that jumped 3’3” as well as Junior and Amateur-Owner competitors that jumped 3’6”, allowing all of the horse show’s amateur competitors in rated hunter divisions to be part of the prestigious classic competition.

Colvin received two additional awards for her winning performances at the Hampton Classic Horse Show. The thirteen-year-old rider received the Kathy Scholl Memorial Trophy awarded to the junior rider who exhibited the most consistent ability in the Junior Divisions, and the Gordon Wright Cup for the awarded to the Leading Junior Equitation Rider.

Her trainer Scott Stewart of Wellington, FL, was impressed with Colvin’s achievements.

“It’s a great accomplishment for Victoria to win both awards, especially at such a young age,” said Stewart. “She is such an amazing talent and has matured so much in the last year that it enables her to be in the top of the equitation as well as the hunter ranks.”
