Driving
The U.S. Pony Drivers drove three confident phases to secure a Team Bronze medal at the 2011 FEI Pony World Driving Championships in Lipica, Slovenia. Their three-phase total of 402.3 guaranteedBronze behind driving powerhouse nations, Germany, who won on 359.4, and The Netherlands on 375.4. Additionally, Suzy Stafford - driving as an Individual for Team USA - drove an impeccable cones phase to move from fourth to third and secured her second consecutive Individual Bronze medal.
Single Pony Championship
Finishing just two places behind Stafford and Josephine, Randy Cadwell drove Kabam to sixth in the division, adding just 1.88 penalties in the final phase. Shelly Temple finished just outside the top 10 with LR Ami B-Line, ending up 11th on 130.97.
Pair Pony Championship
Jennifer Matheson drove determinedly all weekend, and finished 10th to lead the U.S. effort in the Pairs division. Wendy O'Brien put in a valiant effort in her first Team appearance, finishing 22nd overall.
Pony Team Championship Lisa Stroud had a dynamite weekend with her Pony Team driving to sixth place with very confident efforts in each phase. She added three penalties in the Cones phase to lead the U.S. in the highly competitive division. Teammate Laurie Astegiano drove her way to 10th, with her Pony Team to round out an impressive effort for Pony Team USA.

Endurance
NAETC
At the 2011, North American Endurance Team Challenge (NAETC), Mountain A took the Team Gold medal finishing in a combined time of 31:07:13. Doug Swingley aboard Pal of Mine lead the team effort, riding into three of five vet checks in the lead, he finished in a time of 8:55:54. Also across the finish line for Mountain A was Suzanne Hayes with Greenbriar Al Jabal and Suzanne Hedgecock with Aireagle; teammate Christoph Schork was eliminated at gate four.
The Individual medals were determined by a race to the finish line as Jeremy Reynolds (Pacific South) and A Kutt Above outran Meg Sleeper and Syrocco Reveille by a mere second to take the Gold in 8:17:33. Becky Hart with No Repeat, riding as an individual for Pacific South, took the Bronze medal in 8:38:30. No Repeat also earned the coveted Best Conditioned award.

Eventing
Poplar Place CIC and Horse Trials
Qualifying for the fall CCIs continued to keep the eventers busy, Becky Holder won the CIC3* on Can't Fire Me on the strength of immaculate jumping. Clark Montgomery won the CIC2* wire-to-wire on Reignman and Lara Borson-Knight scored in the CIC1* with Shooby Do adding just 2.8 time faults to her dressage score.

Jumping
CSI3* Donaueschingen
As the sole U.S. representative at the German CSI, Lauren Hough picked up three top five finishes on her three different horses. She was fourth on Camina in the 1.45m Int. Springprufung, fifth on Casadora in the 1.50 Preis der Freunde und Förderer and then fourth on Blue Angel in the 1.60m Grosser Preis.

CSI2* Moorsele
European based Peter Wylde jumped to a win in the CSI2* Grand Prix in Belgium. With Lipton de l'Othain, he was third in the qualifier and then scored a victory in the CSI2* Grand Prix 1.45m. There were seven first round clears and of those, two were fault free in the jump-off. Wylde was fastest by more than 1½ seconds.
