Colvin and Way Cool, owned by Dr. Betsee Parker of Middleburg, VA, defended their Championship title winning the Large Junior Hunter—Riders 15 & Under Division, sponsored by The Bedard Family. The 14-year-old rider also won the Reserve Championship on Touchdown, owned by Becky Gochman of New York, NY. Colvin was pleased with the results.
“He is so easy to ride and so much fun,” said Colvin of Way Cool. “He’s perfect.”
Colvin’s trainer Scott Stewart agrees. “He is a perfect jumper, he’s exceptional, which is the easiest and hardest part about him,” said Stewart.
“Victoria has a great natural feel for the horse and gets the best out of him.”
Colvin was also in the winner’s circle for the Small Junior Hunter Riders 15 & Under Championship title, which was sponsored by SBS Farm & Susie Schoellkopf, with Ovation, owned by Scott Stewart of Wellington, FL. Colvin was Reserve Champion on Sanzibar, owned by Karen Long Dwight of New Vernon, NJ.
The Small Junior Hunter—Riders 16 & 17 Championship was sponsored by Stolzmouse Enterprises and won by Huntington, owned by Stratford Stables in Purchase, NY, and ridden by Kristen Lutz. Reserve champion in the division was Corvet Z, owned by Manhattan Mortgage Co., Inc of New York, NY and ridden by Samantha Schaefer.
The tricolor was presented to Vida Blue, owned by Elm Rock LLC, of Bronxville, NY, in the Large Junior Hunter—Riders 16 & 17 Championship and ridden by Shawn Casady. The Reserve Championship was won by Quality Time, owned and ridden by Hasbrouck Donovan of Gainesville, FL.
Junior weekend wraps up on Sunday with the USEF/Pessoa Hunter Seat Equitation Finals presented by Randolph College. The world-class equestrian competition will then continue through Saturday, October 22, at the Pennsylvania State Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg.

Highlights include the Pessoa/USEF Hunter Seat Equitation Medal Finals presented by Randolph College, Hunt Night, Western Night, Family Day featuring free pony rides and face painting, and the final event, the $75,000 FEI World Cup Qualifier Grand Prix de Penn National.
In addition to world-class equestrian competition, the PNHS offers a unique shopping environment with boutique vendors that offer everything from fine art to custom jewelry, clothing, accessories and horse show memorabilia. General admission for Saturday, October 16 to Friday, October 21, is $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and students, except for Wednesday, October 19. On Wednesday spectators can download a coupon for free admission at www.panational.org. General admission for Saturday, October 22, is $20 for adults and $10 for seniors and students. As always, children under 6 are admitted free in general admission seating. Convenient parking is also free.
