Carlswald Prince's Dominoe, trained and ridden by Lionel Ferreira, defeated 11 others in Wednesday night's Five-Gaited Gelding Stake, a class in which defending Five-Gaited World's Grand Champion CH Boucheron did not place, at the Saddlebred World's Championship Horse Show. Carlswald Prince's Dominoe won the Lexington Junior League Horse Show Five-Gaited Grand Championship in July.

CH Boucheron had not shown since winning the Five-Gaited Championship at the Indianapolis Charity Horse Show in early June.

Carlswald Prince's Dominoe is by Teebes Prince Of All and out of Ongers Catherine Lee. The 11-year-old gelding was a South African Grand Champion and is owned by John Bulmer of England.

Lexington Junior League Horse Show Fine Harness Grand Champion Along Came A Spider won the Fine Harness Mares Stake. Trained and driven by George Knight, Along Came A Spider was Reserve World's Grand Champion to CH Callaway's Copyright last year.

Walterway’s Remember Me and My Chanel Dominates Ladies Five-Gaited
In an action-packed evening performance, two large classes of ladies five-gaited dominated the early action.

In the gelding class, which opened the show, a huge field where the quality matched the quantity, nine horses emerged from the first work for a “show-off,” to a roaring Freedom Hall crowd. Some of the best–-and best-bred–-Saddlebreds to have seen the green shavings in years set the tone for the rest of the evening--Walterway’s Remember Me, with Ceil Wheeler up, topped the first exceptional group. By Star Material and out of Yorktown's Forget-Me-Not, Walterway's Remember Me is a graduate of the American Saddlebred Registry’s futurity programs, having been a consistent winner since he was a weanling. Later, the lovely and consistent My Chanel (CH Caramac x Reedann's Maui Girl) emerged the winner over a smaller but equally outstanding group of mares, adding another World’s Championship score for Dr. Owen Weaver to her previous triumphs.

Donate to the ASHA Futures Fund
The ASHA Futures Fund was recently created to support the technological advances of the American Saddlebred Horse Association. Its initial funds are coming from the expanded ASHA Annual Raffle; however, additional contributions will be needed.

Alan F. Balch said the ASHA Futures Fund is playing a crucial role in the live web cast of the World's Championship Horse Show. "I have received a number of comments from exhibitors, owners and trainers at the show all week saying that they love the web cast because family members and friends who can't attend the show are still able to watch," Balch said. "We would welcome everyone's support of the ASHA Futures Fund."

Corrections
In Class 101 ASR National Three-Year-Old Fine Harness Futurity, Todd Graham of Ona, West Virginia exhibited Castledream, not Redd Crabtree.

We regret the misspelling of Coco Royale in our news coverage, winner of the ASR National Three-Year-Old Three-Gaited Futurity.
