HorseShow.com, the premier online horse show network, announces the launch of a new line-up of digital competitions which includes their inaugural shows for the hunter discipline, the Landmark Hunter Challenge and Best of the Hunters. HorseShow.com offers a revolutionary way to assess a horse and rider's readiness for competition and receive expert feedback without the expense of actually traveling to a live show, and in celebration of the unveiling of their newly-updated website, HorseShow.com is offering not only all of the fun and educational features of on-line horse shows, but also an added bonus seldom seen in the hunter world: lots of prize money.

Entries are now being accepted for the HorseShow.com "Landmark Hunter Challenge", which offers 11 different Hunter Over Fences classes. With heights ranging from crossrails to 3'3", this online show gives riders and horses of all experience levels plenty of opportunities to show off their ability and a chance to win cash, all while receiving expert feedback from renowned judge, Beth Nielsen (USEF "R"). Courses are now posted which have been specially designed for both indoor and outdoor arenas. After the closing date, Nielsen will review and score all video entries, and each entrant receives a complete and confidential scorecard via e-mail, complete with comments about each performance. In addition to ribbons awarded for the top three competitors, almost $10,500 in prize money will be paid for the HorseShow.com Landmark Hunter Challenge classes ($350 for first place, $250 for second place and $150 for third place), including $200 paid to the trainer of the winner of each class.

Even though for many riders across the country the official competition year may be coming to a close or moving inside, that doesn't mean that off-season time can't be put to good use. "Some hunter riders are now transitioning to indoor competition, and this is a great way for them to better prepare by getting an expert assessment about where they stand," explained Nielsen. "Other riders may not get to show in the winter, and this is a way to stay home and practice their skills to be better prepared for next year. Either way, everyone should consider holding a video 'show day' at their barn to film their rounds and take advantage of this fun and educational opportunity."

HorseShow.com has also opened a new "Best of the Hunters" online show, offering hunter enthusiasts an educational and informal approach to improving their skills. By submitting a video either from a previous "live" show or while simply jumping a course of their choosing at their own facility, riders will receive a comment card via e-mail from the judge explaining what they love about each round, along with educational comments on how one's performance may be improved. When the show closes on January 15th, judge Beth Nielsen will pick her top three videos and HorseShow.com will award $500 to each of the winners. No matter what level of jumping a horse and rider have achieved, this online horse show offers competitors a fun way to find out what judges really think about one's round, learn new approaches, and win cash! "I think the unique HorseShow.com online competition format offers the exhibitor, whether new to the sport or a seasoned veteran, an opportunity to tune up before their next 'real' show and learn where they can improve or enhance their performances," said Nielsen. "They will receive information from the judges in a positive manner with information to make their future performances the best possible. "

Through HorseShow.com's newly-designed website, entering a digital horse show is easy. Riders can sign up for a free membership and set up a profile for their horse, then easily upload a video of their test directly from their computer or linked from YouTube.
