WPCSA Offers 2nd Registration Amnesty Period

by Welsh Pony & Cob Society of America | Jan 23, 2012, 5:00 PM

Stephens City, VA
- The Welsh Pony & Cob Society of America is pleased to announce that it is offering an amnesty period for reduced registration fees through August 31, 2012. This amnesty period is in response to a similar program offered during 2011. It will apply to all qualified Purebred, Part-Bred and Half-Welsh ponies.

Dr. Ruth Wilburn, WPCSA President, acknowledges that a similar program in 2011 was timely and highly successful. “In light of today’s economic environment, we are pleased to re-offer this cost savings option. We were excited that 240 animals took advantage of this plan last year and we look forward to welcoming more new animals into our breed registry. We also hope that non-members who register their animals through this amnesty period, will take a look at our Society and consider its benefits. We have a lot of fun together and we want you to come join us in celebrating our wonderful breed.”

Fees for WPCSA registrations are based on the animal’s age at the time of application. During the amnesty period, registration fees will be capped at a maximum of $125. Eligible animals that are younger than 24 months will continue to pay their lower registration fees. All applications for registration must conform to the published rules of eligibility and the current registration process. As of September 1, 2012, regular registration fees will apply.
If you are interested in taking advantage of the amnesty period which ends on August 21, 2012, please visit www.welshpony.org or contact the Society office at 540-868-PONY (7669).
