Loxahatchee, FL
– Dressage trainer Laurie Moore reunited with her former equine partner Zonnerhall, owned by Cynthia Hunting, at the International Horse Sport Palm Beach Show and the reunion proved to be award winning as the duo captured the high score at the show. Moore and Zonnerhall earned a 77.903% in the USEF First Level Test of Choice to ride away as the winner of The Horse of Course High Score Award, sponsored by The Horse of Course, Inc, one of the nation’s premier tack shops specializing in dressage tack, clothing and supplies.

Moore, who recently moved from Michigan to Florida, started and trained Zonnerhall for the Huntings when they lived in Michigan. “He’s a sweet and lovely horse and he loves to work,” Moore said. “The Huntings moved to Florida a few years ago and Zonnerhall has been a pleasure horse for them since then. He has a great work ethic and it only took him a few days of me riding him before he realized what was happening and our partnership returned. He has really matured also, which is nice.”

Moore said that despite being away from the show ring for three years, Zonnerhall returned in style to earn the high score of the show. “I want to thank The Horse of Course for sponsoring the class. The funny things is, that when I got to the show grounds in the morning I went to The Horse of Course’s mobile store and bought a new grey Pikeur show coat. My first ride in my new coat from The Horse of Course turned out to be my high score ride and The Horse of Course sponsors the High Score Award.”

As the winners of the High Score Award, Moore and Zonnerhall rode away with a beautiful cooler from The Horse of Course. “I want to congratulate Laurie on her fabulous ride and of course let her know that she looks great in her new coat,” said Beth Haist, CEO of The Horse of Course. “How exciting that she had just bought a new coat from us! We love being part of our rider’s show careers and we are certain that Zonnerhall will look great in his winning cooler from The Horse of Course and that he will wear it proudly.”

The Horse of Course, known for having the best and latest in dressage fashion, is a strong supporter of the equestrian community and their one-stop dressage specialty mobile store is a fixture at horse shows across the country. Dressage riders from around the world rely on products and fashions from The Horse of Course and the tack shop offers top proven brands, innovative new products, complete customized saddle fitting and customized bit fitting. “Florida is certainly the place to be in the winter. The shows attract the top competition from around the world and we are very excited to be part of it. Sponsoring the High Score Award is a real treat for us and I look forward to meeting and learning about each winner,” Haist said.

Haist’s husband, Marty Haist, is a saddler who attends the shows to assist customers with their saddle fitting needs. “The Horse of Course also carries saddles, including the most advanced dressage saddle ever made, The Sommer Flextra Eq and the new Sommer Spezial,” Haist said. “We promote proper saddle fit and I encourage all riders to stop and talk to Marty about their saddle needs.”
